Ride outs

Marshalling dudes in flouro

All rides will be fully marshalled so there’s no need to jump the lights or ride 1m behind the scooter in front. Just keep riding straight unless directed by one of the marshalls. Don’t worry about getting left behind, on the longer rides (Friday and Saturday) we’ll be stopping a couple of times to re-group.  When it comes time to leave a venue and start the return ride we’ll give you plenty of notice, but feel free to linger a little longer and make your own way home. No we won't have a whistle.

Meeting point hope it starts

Meet behind the station on Stirling Square at 10.00 for 10.30 for all ride outs.

Breakdown & recovery no-one left behind

Riders will be fully supported by our back-up team. If you break down, find somewhere safe to pull over and wait till our man in the (very big) van arrives.  Text “HELP” to  with your name, scooter make and location. We’ll deal with your calamity as soon as we can, but please be patient (and more importantly be safe) until Thunderbird 2 turns up.

Friday 3 NOV big dipper

You may have woken up with a hang-over from last night’s festivities and thought I can’t be arsed going on today’s ride out, but nooo, this is a great ride today. Get out of bed and get to the meeting point on Stirling Square by 10 am for a 10:30am start. Entrance is off Stirling Street just behind the station. Nearest fuel to meeting point is Puma Guildford (600m away). For those that can’t ride without morning sustenance the Poste café is a mere stone’s throw away from the meeting point. (Poste café is doing us a bacon & egg barista coffee deal for $18).

Get ready for a 90km ride through the Perth hills (including the infamous “Big Dipper”),ending at the Whiteman Park motor museum. (Museum attendance fee is included in your rally pack cost). The museum has nearly 2,000 square meters of floor space displaying over 200 historic vehicles. Food and cleansing ales available on site. The full route is shown on the “Ride Outs” page, so there’s no excuse for getting lost. Our friendly team of route marshalls will also be on hand anyway to point you (mostly) in the right direction.  We’ve also arranged a professional photographer at  the museum to take an individual pic of your scooter against a scenic backdrop with the photos to be published on this website for you to download your scoot pic.

Saturday 4 NOV river & coast

Saturday’s ride takes us from Guildford to river to coast. (See ride outs for actual route.)  Nearest café is the Poste café for those that can’t ride without morning sustenance a mere stone’s throw away from the meeting point.  Entrance is off Stirling Street. Nearest fuel to meeting point is Puma Guildford (600m away). In summary we’ll be going through the Perth tunnel (and you’ll be thinking either “whoa my scoot sounds great” or “feck, don’t cut out now, this will be really, really embarrassing and I’ll never hear the end of it), through Kings Park (and it’s million dollar views), along the Swan River past the homes of Perth’s rich and famous to the Port Beach Brewery for beers, food truck and guest DJ spinning classic vinyl from 12.00. From the brewery we travel up the west coast to Hillarys and then inland through back to the Swan Valley and Guildford, arriving around 4ish.
